What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Most of the work we do comes from a sq. ft. price on labor & material

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually meet with the customer first so we can go over what the customer is needing done. After gathering all the information needed I submit a estimate. When the customer agrees with our price I will bring by a contract for the customer to sign. Then I will work with them on scheduling to come out & get the work completed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in the home remodeling business for 30 years. Training started in high school & when that was finished I went to trade school.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I guess you could say that I was born into it. I come from a family of construction owners.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a large array of customers. We have done some commercial work as well as residential work. Although most of our work is residential!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

To describe a single project to me hardly says enough. I enjoy all of the work that we do. I guess to hear the happiness in the customers voice when we are finished is what i am most fond of!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Although price is an attractive feature it is not always the best route. Find out how long a person or a company has been living in your area. You want someone that has been around awhile and proven themselves to be stable. Ask them how long they have been doing the work that you are hiring them to do. you woudn't want to hire a guy who was working for the post office or comcast a month or 2 ago.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

This is a good question. I guess first of all make sure that it is something in the budget. Second. Go and look around at different items before you call someone. Nowadays with the internet you can find almost everything on the web. When you have a general idea if the product is not to big or heavy I usually suggest to go and buy a sample and take it home to look at. lighting is a key factor when purchasing stuff for your home.
